Tom Ord Biography

• Born and raised in Aurora, Colorado.
• At the age of nineteen, Tom started work in New York City for the McCall Pattern Company ( www.mccall.com ), manufacturers of home sewing patterns.  Former Print Production Manager for the monthly pattern catalog found in fabric stores across the nation. 
• Attended and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology ( www.fitnyc.edu ) in New York City.
• Production Manager at CBS, Consumer Magazine Division ( www.cbs.com ).  Responsible for the print negotiation, paper buying and ad trafficking for several of their major magazine titles; Woman’s Day, Woman’s Day specialty titles, World Tennis and Dennis the Menace comic books.

• Former Director of Production and Circulation for Information Handling Services, Inc (IHS) Publishing Group ( www.ihs.com ), a 350 million dollar information provider corporation headquartered in Denver.  Responsible for meeting their print production schedules and circulation requirements for all their printed material including 1,000 directory tiles with more than 350,000 typeset pages, monthly trade magazines for the electrical engineering community and all marketing collateral materials.  Specialized in company acquisitions and turnarounds. 

• Owned and lived on a large cattle ranch south of Denver in the Black Forest. 

• Founded and created www.AirParts.com.  This website was the first attempt to link international buyers and sellers of aircraft parts electronically via the Internet.  Compiled a database of over 35 million aircraft parts from suppliers and distributors worldwide.

• Created the website www.imagineabetterworld.com.  This was a collaborative effort to promote Lon and Derrick Van Eaton, former Apple Recording Artists, new CD album “Black and White", that featured guest appearances with Ringo Starr and Denny Sewell, former lead drummer for “Wings.”

For the past several years, Tom has made Las Vegas his home.  With his extensive business background as a Realtor, Tom has successfully negotiated major residential and commercial real estate transactions in the Las Vegas Valley.  Prudential Americana Group, REALTORS, the largest real estate company in Las Vegas, provides the necessary foundation for his ongoing success.
